Scout KS-30 fibreglass antenna is tuned to AIS frequencies for automated tracking systems. The marine antenna is extremely light and high-performing.
It has a 100cm long, 1.4mm thick fibreglass whip which is foam injected and 100% waterproof. The AIS antenna features a high gloss, ice white finish with anti-UV filter to prevent colour deterioration.
The 3db fibreglass antenna comes with a 5 metre (16.4') RG-58 CU MIL coaxial cable and a PL-259 male adaptor to complete the installation.

AIS stands for Automatic Identification System, which is an automated tracking system used on ships and by Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) for identifying and locating vessels by electronically exchanging data with other nearby ships and VTS stations. AIS transponders use two different frequencies; VHF maritime channels 87B (161.975 MHz) and 88B (162.025 MHz).
