Description

The Scout Wi-Fi + 4G onBoard Plus is an integrated connectivity system designed to provide seamless and high-speed internet access through both nearby Wi-Fi hotspots and cellular networks.

The system is designed to provide a reliable internet link for distances of up to 20 miles offshore. This is particularly beneficial for marine environments where connectivity can often be challenging.

The Wi-Fi + 4G onBoard Plus features an intelligent receiver that seamlessly switches between available Wi-Fi signals and cellular data. This automatic switching guarantees uninterrupted internet access, optimising connectivity options based on the available networks.

Equipped with dual external 4G antennas featuring MiMo (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) technology, this system enhances both internet speed and signal reception. This results in a consistently reliable connection even in areas with weaker signals.

The system includes a built-in hotspot that can accommodate up to 50 Wi-Fi users. Users have the option to secure the connection using a private password, ensuring controlled access for authorised users.

Users can manage the Wi-Fi + 4G onBoard Plus system wirelessly using smartphones, tablets, or laptops. The user-friendly web browser interface allows for convenient control and configuration.

The kit includes a premium high-speed router, two external waterproof 4G antennas (4dB strength), and a high-power 10dB external waterproof Wi-Fi antenna. The system requires a data-only SIM card (not included) to activate. Additionally, a second SIM card can be added for increased flexibility.

The included Sea-Hub Plus router is a rugged and reliable 4G/LTE Dual SIM cellular router. It offers advanced Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and industrial-grade networking functionalities, making it easy to set up and manage.

The router supports Dual-SIM capability, featuring four Ethernet interfaces and Wi-Fi support. This makes it suitable for use as a primary or backup internet source, offering data redundancy.

The router comes with RutOS software, which includes several advanced features such as multiple VPN services, a firewall, hotspot functionality, auto failover, load balancing, SMS control, and support for the Remote Management System (RMS).

The RMS ensures remote access to the router's configuration and status, without having to rely on a public IP address. This enables users to monitor device temperature, mobile signal quality, data usage, and other crucial information.
