The Sea-Fire NFD200A Novec Auto Fire System is a fire suppression system designed for marine applications.
It utilizes 3M™ Novec™ 1230, a clean agent fire extinguishing agent known for its effectiveness and environmental friendliness.
The NFD200A system is specifically engineered to automatically detect and suppress fires in enclosed areas such as engine compartments, machinery spaces, and other critical areas on boats and yachts. It is designed to rapidly extinguish fires while minimizing damage to the protected area and its contents.
Key features include:
• Automatic Activation: The system is equipped with heat and/or smoke detectors that sense the presence of a fire. Once a fire is detected, the system automatically activates to suppress it.
•Novec 1230 Agent: The system employs 3M™ Novec™ 1230 as the fire extinguishing agent. Novec 1230 is a clean, colourless, and electrically non-conductive gas that effectively extinguishes fires by removing heat from the fire triangle (heat, fuel, and oxygen). It leaves no residue after discharge, minimizing clean-up and damage.
•Rapid Suppression: The NFD200A system is designed for fast and efficient fire suppression. It releases the Novec 1230 agent within 10 seconds of fire detection, rapidly suppressing the fire and preventing its spread.
•Environmentally Friendly: Novec 1230 is considered an environmentally friendly fire extinguishing agent. It has low toxicity, zero ozone depletion potential, and a short atmospheric lifetime. It is non-corrosive and safe for use in occupied spaces.
