A one-component polyurethane adhesive that cures on exposure to atmospheric moisture. Sikaflex®-295 UV has a paste-like consistency and is suitable for interior and exterior sealing applications and to bond organic glass in the Marine sector. It can also be used to seal joints in exposed areas due to its excellent weatherability.
Sikaflex®-295 UV meets the requirements set out by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Suitable substrates include aluminium (bright or anodized), stainless steel, GRP (polyester resin), timber, 2-component coatings and plastic glazing materials (PC, PMMA). This product is generally resistant to seawater, fresh water, diluted acids and diluted caustic solutions. It is temporarily resistant to fuels, mineral oils, vegetable and animal fats and oils. However, it is not resistant to organic acids, glycolic alcohol, concentrated mineral acids and caustic solutions or solvents.
NOTE: Perform tests and seek manufacturer's advice on original substrates before using Sikaflex®-295 UV on materials prone to stress cracking. This product is suitable for experienced professional users only.
