The Scout 4G onBoard Plus is an integrated internet connectivity system designed to offer seamless and reliable 4G internet access in various settings, particularly in marine and coastal environments.
This system enables wireless sharing through a built-in hotspot and also supports Ethernet connections. This versatility allows multiple devices to connect to the internet either through Wi-Fi or wired connections.
The system includes two powerful external 4G antennas and Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MiMo) technology. This combination helps to strengthen the signal reception and extend the range of the internet connection, offering coverage up to 20 miles from the coast.
The built-in hotspot can accommodate up to 50 simultaneous Wi-Fi users. Users can set up a private password to ensure controlled and authorized access to the internet.
The system can be controlled wirelessly through smartphones, tablets, or laptops using a web browser interface. This eliminates the need for additional cables or drivers and provides convenient access to the system's settings and controls.
This kit includes a professional high-speed router and two 4dB external waterproof 4G antennas. Users need to insert a data-only SIM card (not included) to activate the system. Additionally, there's support for an optional second SIM card for added flexibility.
The Scout Sea-Hub Plus router included in this kit is a durable 4G/LTE Dual SIM cellular router. It features advanced Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and industrial-grade networking functionality.
The router supports Dual-SIM functionality, providing a main and backup internet source. This ensures a stable and high-speed internet connection even in the event of one SIM card's failure. The router also offers four Ethernet interfaces for wired connections.
The router comes equipped with RutOS software, which includes various features such as multiple VPN services, a firewall, hotspot functionality, automatic failover, load balancing, SMS control, and Remote Management System (RMS) support.
The RMS is a client-server system that allows remote access to the router. This means that administrators can manage and monitor the router's status, even without a public IP address.
The RMS facilitates tracking historical status changes, monitoring device temperature, mobile signal quality, and data usage for comprehensive information monitoring.
